Eifion Lewis Roberts back to the fray for Wales

EIFION LEWIS-ROBERTS was yesterday welcomed back into the Wales fold with open arms after his shock omission from the Autumn international series.
The former Ruthin prop, who now plys his trade at Sale Sharks, was a notable absence from the Wales squad for the four Test series in November.
At the time Wales head coach Warren Gatland intimated Lewis-Roberts had to loose more weight before earning his call-up, but forwards coach Robin McBryde yesterday said the front-row was in the squad on merit after reaching the targets set by the Welsh management.
“Eifion was set some targets off the field that he has now reached,” said former Mold hooker McBryde.
“And on the basis of that he’s worked hard and on the inclusion of some other players we’ve told to work on certain things they have gone away and work hard and have been welcomed back into the squad.”
And McBryde, who was a tourist with the British Lions, added: “We see Eifion as perhaps moving forward as a tighthead role as opposed to a loosehead.
“He’s shown that he’s willing to work hard and develop and this now gives us two months to work with him, much the same as Rhys Gill, to see if he can make some strides forward in his development to see exactly what has can
