Sometimes the final score does not tell the full story of a match,and this was certainly the case at Wrexham this afternoon. At 41-0 down at half-time the young North Walians were facing the possibility of conceding a cricket score against a Blues side whose first half display marked them down as head and shoulders above any other side in this years regional age-grade competition.Playing with power,pace and not a little skill, led to the Blues scoring tries in the first period through Cory Allen,Ellis Jenkins,Callum Thomas,Harry Robinson and Elliot Jones (2).
However showing real character the second half saw a massively improved performance from the Gogledd Cymru side who never gave up tackling and trying. Although further Blues tries were to come from Thomas Davies, Harry Robinson,Cory Allen and Elliot Jones for his hat-trick, each of them had to be worked for in a way that was perhaps not the case in the first half.
Next Sunday Gogledd Cymru Under 18s finish their campaign with an away game against the Dragons.
