Ar ddiwrnod hynod wlyb, gwelwyd llawer o gamgymeriadau pasio a tharo’r bel ymlaen , yn enwedig gan Nant. Cosbwyd Nant ddwywaith yn y 10 munud cyntaf gyda Mathew Parry yn sgorio dwy gic gosb i Fethesda i fynd 0-6 ar y blaen. Chwarter ffordd drwy’r gêm, llithrodd Owain trwy linell amddiffyn y gwrthwynebwyr i sgorio o dan y pyst a thasg hawdd oedd i Peredur drosi yn ei gem gyntaf yn ôl ar ôl tymor allan oherwydd anaf drwg iawn. Ar ddiwedd yr hanner cyntaf, gwelwyd cais gorau’r gêm gyda Henry yn gorffen symudiad chwim ar draws y cae gyda chais yn y gornel dde. Methwyd y trosiad ond daeth Bethesda yn ol i sgorio cais eu hunain trwy Gareth Wyn, mewn modd tebyg i gais cyntaf Nant, i wneud sgôr o 12 - 11 ar yr hanner.

Dau funud ar ol yr egwyl, bu i Mathew Parry, rhif 10 Bethesda gicio tros linell amddiffyn Nant a bod y cyntaf i durio’r bel a pharhau i drosi hefyd. Nant yn pwyso wedyn a chael cais haeddiannol trwy Aeron ar y chwith ymhen pum munud arall o chwarae. Troswyd gan Peredur i wneud y sgor yn 19 - 18. O hynny ymlaen, Nant fu’n pwyso ond yn methu gorffen symudiadau addawol gyda’r bas olaf yn methu’n aml. Fodd bynnag, daeth y profiadol, Peredur i’r adwy dri munud i mewn i’r amser ychwanegol i sgorio cais ar y chwith ac ennill y pwynt bonws i Nant. Methwyd y trosiad eto.

Dydd Sadwrn nesaf bydd Nant yn chwarae i ffwrdd yn erbyn Llangefni.

On an extremely wet and unpleasant day, several errors in passing movements by virtue of knock-ons, especially by Nant. The home team were penalised twice in the first 10 minutes by the boot of Mathew Parry. A quarter of the way through the match, Owain sliced through the visiting defence line to touch down underneath the posts. Peredur, returning after a season out due to a serious injury, converted. Towards the end of the first half, Henry scored arguably, the best try of the match in the right wing corner after an excellent passing movement along the entire half of the pitch. The conversion was missed but, right on the half time whistle, Bethesda replied with a try of their own scored by Gareth Wyn. The half time score was 12 – 11.

Only two minutes of the second period had been played when Mathew Parry chipped over the Nant defensive line and was the first to touch the ball down for a try which he then duly converted. Nant then pressurised more and more and Aeron burst through to score another try again this week, after another 5 minutes. Peredur converted so that Nant regained the lead at 19 – 18. This score remained the same until added time although several promising attacking moves by Nant failed because the final pass went astray on several occasions. Peredur showed his experience to score the final, and bonus point try, after 3 minutes of added time but failed with the conversion.

Next Saturday, Nant will be playing away at Llangefni.
